DISCONNECTED SPACE RESEARCH GROUP IN M_ITÄ? BIENNIAL

The third M_itä? Biennial, which was organized collaborately by Joensuu Art Museum, Kuopio Art Museum & Mikkeli Art Museum was held in Joensuu, took place in Joensuu 13.5.–17.9.2023. Disconnected Space Research Group, which is convened by Jaakko Ruuska, Participated the exhibition by showing our site-specific artistic research project, which studies a disconnected railway on the border between russia and Finland. Photographer Hanna Koikkalainen, visual artist Pavel Rotts, playwright Mikhail Durnenkov and artist-researcher Jaakko Ruuska represented the research group in the exhibition.
